What is Radiologic Technology?

Sinclair's Radiologic Technology program prepares you for a career in one of the fastest-evolving areas of health care today. A rewarding profession for those who offer both advanced technical knowledge and human compassion. technological advancements are consistently introduced which provide exciting opportunities in the field.

The largest component of this discipline is medical imaging that involves the production of an image used to diagnose medical conditions. High-tech imaging methods employed in medical imaging utilize x-ray, sonographic, magnetic, and computer-driven equipment.

Who are Radiographers?

Radiographers are radiologic technologists who specialize in medical imaging.  Advanced technical knowledge and human compassion are the most important features of registered radiographers. They specialize in medical imaging by providing patient care in routine and special procedures performed to diagnose, prevent, and treat disease. Radiographers often assist radiologists and other physicians in the delivery of health care services in medical imaging and other related departments. Radiation protection practices of the radiographer provide for safe radiation environments.
