Visual communications graduates typically pursue careers as graphic artists in corporations and private design studios, advertising and marketing agencies, newspapers, magazine and book publishers, and even interactive media and Web design studios.
Visual Communications - Associate of Applied Science
The program prepares students for careers in visual communication which is creative, fast paced and in demand by most businesses. Students will develop the knowledge and technical skills necessary to create both printed and digital design work. This includes the design of stationery, brochures, magazines, advertising, packaging, signage, web pages, interactive media and other pieces. Creativity, problem solving and the design process are stressed. Advanced computer skills, portfolio development and job-seeking strategies are also incorporated into the curriculum.

By developing articulation agreements, formal agreements between colleges detailing the recognition of college credit between the schools, you will know you are meeting the requirements needed at the four-year school of your choice. Ohio Transfer Module
The Associate of Arts and the Associate of Science degree programs fulfill the requirements for the Ohio Transfer Module at other public colleges and universities. Students in applied associate degree programs may complete some individual transfer module courses within their degree program or continue beyond their program to complete the entire transfer module.
