By working in partnership with community leaders, business and industry, education institutions, and local, regional, state and federal government agencies, Workforce Development is able to identify, create and implement regional workforce development strategies to meet the current and future employer demand.

In the past, economic development focused on attracting new businesses with financial incentives.
