The program, titled Partners in Excellence: The Paralegal Program and the Legal Community, included guest speakers—Jesse Nutt, Bankruptcy Court paralegal, and Walter Reynolds of Porter, Wright, Morris, and Arthur. The event also featured music by Puzzle of Light.
During this event, many people were credited and thanked for their contributions to the program’s many successful years. As emcee for the event, Montgomery County Common Please Court Judge Mary Wiseman made sure to recognize the excellence of Sinclair’s full-time faculty that play such a great role in the program itself and the students it graduates. Additionally, Sinclair Professor Emeritus Garnett McDonough (founder of the program and chair for 23 years), Bruce Snyder (avid supporter of the program as trustee for the Hubert A. and Gladys C. Estabrook Trust), and program advisory board members, adjunct faculty and team members were also recognized.
“Dr. Sue Merrell, Dean of Business and Public Services, closed the evening with remarks about the history of the program and the ‘passion of the people’ involved in the program’s history,” states Bree Langemo, J.D., Chair and Assistant Professor of Paralegal, Law and Real Estate.
