Lady Pride Drops to Edison at Pink Out Game

Dayton, OH – Sinclair Women's basketball looked to rebound from last week's tough loss to Owens during their annual Pink Out Game that brings awareness for those that struggle with breast cancer. Their opponent, Edison from Piqua have been playing good basketball since the start of the new year.

The Lady Pride, shooting just 31.3% from the field in the first half, found themselves down 39-26 at the half.

In the second half The Lady Pride make a big run to close Edison's lead to just four, 54-50. But, in final several minutes, Sinclair could not make key free throws going just 6 for 16 and eventually losing 67-60.

Leading the way for Sinclair were two sophomore players, Brandi McDaniel (Franklin H.S.) with a double-double,17 points and 12 rebounds and Katie Von Lehmden (Fort Jennings H.S.) with 14 points. The Lady Pride dropped to 13-9 overall and stand at 4-4 in OCCAC play.

Sinclair's next home game will be on Saturday, February 18, as both Men and Women play OCCAC opponent Columbus State.

Game Time on Saturday will be 2:00 PM. The games will be played at the downtown campus in Building 8.
