The business management programs at Sinclair allow you to acquire the knowledge and skills to help prepare you for a management level position in business, industry and/or the public sector.
Our department offers certificate and degree programs in business administration, business management, human resources, marketing, and supply chain management. There are also a variety of business elective courses that you can take to better tailor any academic program to meet your own goals.

Short-term Technical Certificate
Human Resource Management
This certificate provides the opportunity to develop and refine human resources skills. The curriculum covers laws and regulations related to employment, implications of decisions and their effect on business as well as employee motivation. Also addresses human resource applications in strategic human resource management, workforce planning and employment, human resource development, total compensation and rewards, employee and labor relations and risk management. Contemporary approach to human resource management using a diagnostic model of internal and external influences.

Supply Chain Technician
Students gain an understanding of the supply chain system of organizations, people, technology, activities and resources involved in moving a product or service from supplier to customer. Upon completion of this certificate, students will be prepared to work as entry-level technician in the field of logistics, purchasing and warehousing.

Associate of Applied Science - Business Management
This program emphasizes preparation for a wide variety of management-related positions. It is designed to provide a balance in technical business education along with general education courses while providing a considerable choice of electives and alternatives. Opportunities for managers include supervision, office managers, management trainees, assistant managers and owners within a variety of settings, including small and medium-size businesses, corporations, industries, non-profit organizations and governmental agencies.

Associate of Applied Science - Business Management/Entrepreneurship
This area of concentration within the Management degree program prepares existing or potential entrepreneurs in a wide variety of small business functions. Associate of Applied Science - Business Management/Supply Chain Management
The Business Management Supply Chain Management (SCM) concentration provides a broad-based study of organizational strategic plans, resources, roles, responsibilities and functions, while also focusing on management of supply chain activities. This study involves consideration and application of processes to develop coordinated supplier-to-customer systems, including: identifying needs for raw materials, supplies and components; developing specifications; computing quantity requirements; selecting sources and negotiating agreements; acquiring, transporting and storing inventory; managing and maintaining operations; and logistics management.

Associate of Science - Business Administration
The University Parallel program is designed for the student who wants to pursue a baccalaureate degree at a four-year institution in a business discipline. The purpose of the degree program is to provide the basic core of business and general education requirements for the first two years of a four-year program. As part of this degree program, students must complete the requirements of the Ohio Transfer Module in order to graduate.

Articulation & Transfer Agreements
Sinclair works directly with many four-year schools in Ohio and beyond to ensure the college credit you earn will transfer easily to those schools. By developing articulation agreements, formal agreements between colleges detailing the recognition of college credit between the schools, you will know you are meeting the requirements needed at the four-year school of your choice. Ohio Transfer Module
The Associate of Arts and the Associate of Science degree programs fulfill the requirements for the Ohio Transfer Module at other public colleges and universities. Students in applied associate degree programs may complete some individual transfer module courses within their degree program or continue beyond their program to complete the entire transfer module.
Upon completion of the Ohio Transfer Module, students will be able to enter most Ohio four-year colleges and universities as a junior with your general education requirements completed. Find out more about the Ohio Transfer Module…
