Each year the YWCA Dayton honors women in the greater Dayton community who have made a positive influence on the lives of others as part of their careers, as volunteers, as role models or as mentors. For 2013, Gwendolyn Jones, Sinclair's Diversity Officer, is one of the six remarkable women to be honored at the Dayton Convention Center on March 14.

Gwen serves on the Board of the National Conference for Community and Justice, the steering committee and as a facilitator for the Dayton Dialogue on Race Relations, Co-Chair of MLK Dayton College and University Collaborative, Vice Chair of the Southwestern Ohio Consortium for Higher Education (SOCHE) Diversity Initiative Committee and numerous college committees, including being a founding member of the Sinclair Change Agents.
