Agent Todd Bagby of the U.S. Secret Service spent some time talking with members of the Men's Basketball program September 3 as part of the Player Enhancement Program. Agent Bagby, the resident Agent-in-Charge for the Dayton office, gave a quick overview on the agency and the different functions of the Secret Service which included employment opportunities as well as the educational requirements.
This is not the first time Agent Bagby has addressed the team. During their first visit to Washington,D.C., the Pride had positive encounters with the members of the Secret Service and Capitol Police. This sparked some interest and a lot of unanswered questions which resulted in an invitation to the Dayton office to spend some time speaking to our student-athletes.
The Men's Basketball team will travel to DC once again this year to open the regular season on November 1. On the way, Sinclair will stop at West Liberty University (WV) for a scrimmage against one of the top NCAA Division II programs in the nation. While in Washington, the team will tour the White House, Capitol, Supreme Court and visit Arlington Cemetery, Lincoln Memorial, Martin L. King Memorial and spending time visiting with returning vets at Walter Reed Hospital. The trip will finish with the first regular season game of 2015-16 against the U.S. Naval Academy Development Team.
