Co-Curricular Assessment

Definitions:

Co-Curricular Assessment
Co-Curricular assessment is measuring student learning through Co-Curricular engagement.

Co-Curricular Engagement
Co-Curricular engagement is learning that occurs outside the classroom through participation in leadership opportunities, student academic support, student employment, or student development activities, such as clubs, organizations, service learning, and many other student engagement activities.

Academic Advising

Definitions:

Advised
Students are considered advised prior to registration if there is any advising record (face to face, e-mail or phone) in Q-flow, SSP or Appointment Manager prior to the date they register for courses.

MAP
MAP stands for My Academic Plan, which is a plan for course enrollment in future terms that a student develops with an Academic Advisor.  Students are considered as Mapped before registration, if the MAP created date is on or before the date they enrolled in a course for the term.

Gateway Completion
Most Associate degree credential seeking students have a requirement for college level English and/or Math. We identified students who completed either program specific or any college level Math courses (MAT-1110, MAT-1120, MAT-1130, MAT-1280, MAT-1290, MAT-1295, MAT-1410+) and ENG-1101 or higher level ENG courses through direct enrollment in the course, transfer from other institution or
a combination of the two. Students who are in programs that do not require gateway courses are identified as ‘No gateway required’.

Number of students by gateway Math completion status: this table and the accompanying chart shows the number of students that have a math requirement and the numbers of completers and non-completers.

Number of students by gateway English completion status: this table and the accompanying chart shows the number of students that have an English requirement and the numbers of completers and non-completers.
