Compliance with Sinclair Green Certification – Appliances
In order to have either a refrigerator or microwave in an office suite, the following rules much be followed:
- No Sinclair funds may be used to purchase the appliance
- The new unit must be “Energy Star Rated”
- Multiple users must be sharing the appliance
- The old, non-energy star rated small units must be removed from the campus.
The new unit must get an approval sticker from Facilities Management Maintenance Supervisor, Doug Mahoney (ext. 3090). The sticker is logged in order to facilitate the tracking of authorized “Energy Star” appliances. Doug Mahoney must be contacted when the new unit is installed.
