Sinclair has long been a regional force and partner in educating students on Cisco products.  Sinclair has been designated a Network Academy Training Center for Cisco training and, as such, has partnered with six area high schools to support their efforts in IA education.

Shared curriculum and faculty through Quick Start courses

Sinclair Community College offers courses both on its campus and on site for many high schools in the greater Dayton metropolitan area.  These classes, designated as Quick Start courses, give high school students the ability to earn college credit during their high school years.  Sinclair faculty and curriculum is used in these classes.  Miamisburg High School  is one of many schools with which Sinclair has such an agreement.  For the Fall 2011 term the following Quick Start courses were offered:

  • CIS 130 Introduction to Web Development at Stebbins High School, Riverside OH
  • CIS 130 Introduction to Web Development at Miamisburg High School, Miamisburg OH
  • CIS 230 Computer Networks at Fairmont High School, Kettering OH

For the Winter 2011 term the following Quick Start courses were offered:

  •  CIS 107 Introduction to Operating Systems at Centervillel HS, Centerville OH
  •  CIS 137 Introductin to XHTML/JavaScript at Centerville HS, Centerville OH
  •  CIS 206 Network Security I at Fairmont High School, Kettering OH
