Sinclair Fire Academy

Fire Science Technology students receive training at the Sinclair Fire Academy in Building 20, and participate in live fire training at the Dayton Fire Training Center. Sinclair's Fire Academy is chartered by the State of Ohio to provide certified firefighter and rescue training. In the last seven years the Fire Academy has trained aproximately 5,000 firefighters.

Sinclair firefighter and rescue training is also offered at off-campus sites within the Miami Valley region. Specialized training is avaliable upon request.

Firefighter Level I and Firefighter Level II courses are accredited by the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications, called Pro Board. Level I is set up to be finished in one quarter, and Level II in one additional quarter.        

Pro Board certification is recognized by twenty states and two Canadian provinces.
