Sinclair Community College offers a short-term technical certificate in Nurse Aide Training, consisting of one course to provide education to individuals in the basic skills necessary to provide personal care services and activities under the delegation and supervision of a registered or licensed practical nurse to residents in a long-term care facility.
Sinclair has partnered with Health Care providers and Home Heath agencies to fill a growing need for trained individuals in the Miami Valley Region. Our region’s long-term care and home health care agencies are looking to hire well trained professionals with their State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) certification that can be employed immediately in the hospital or homecare setting providing patient care technician (PCT) or home health aide services.
By taking one more course in Acute Care Nurse Aide or Healthcare Navigator Practicum, you can earn a second short-term technical certificate continuing your education and be professionally trained as either a Patient Care Technician or Home Health Aide.
Both the Patient Care Technician and Home Health Aide short-term technical certificates are designed to be completed in 1 semester. After successful completion of either program, Sinclair works with connecting students to hiring employers and open job opportunities in the Dayton area. Job positions are typically full-time with benefits, and they can be applied to a degree if students want to continue their education even further.
