American Heart Association CPR Classes

Sinclair offers three American Heart Association CPR classes designed to train you to save lives. Each course has a hands-on format to prepare healthcare professionals in lifesaving techniques.

  • ALH 1130 - Basic Life Support Training, 1 credit hour. These classes are typically held 2 full days or 4 half days. Upon successful completion, student will receive a Healthcare Provider card Basic Life Support (BLS) and a HeartSaver First Aid Provider card (HSFA).
  • ALH 1131 - Emergency Cardiac Care, 1 credit hour. When offered, it runs the whole semester, 16 weeks. Upon successful completion, student will receive a Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) card.
  • ALH 1132 - HeartSaver First Aid, 1 credit hour. These classes are offer in short term, 8-week offerings. Upon successful completion, student will receive HeartSaver First Aid with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) card.

How to Enroll in the Classes:
These classes are offered as "for credit" courses only. Participants must be a current student or apply to become a student in order to register and complete the course. Sinclair does not offer American Heart Association (AHA) Instructor classes to the public.
