Academic Resource Center (ARC)

The ARC offers prospective students an opportunity to improve basic skills in math, reading, and writing prior to enrolling or while enrolled at Sinclair, and is located at the Dayton campus.  Once the Accuplacer placement test as been completed, an individual can choose utilize the ARC lab and will be assigned a curriculum based on their Accuplacer score.  Upon completion a student will receive a voucher for a free Accuplacer re-test.

Who should utilize the ARC?
  • individuals preparing to take the Accuplacer for the first time
  • individuals retaking the Accuplacer
  • individuals who would like to review Math, Reading and Writing skills
  • individuals preparing to take the GED prior to enrollment at Sinclair
  • Sinclair students currently enrolled in any Developmental Studies (DEV) course
  • Individuals participating in Friday Refresher sessions

    Friday Refreshers may cover the following topics: resume building, career searches, leadership, math, or writing.

GED

In collaboration with Miami Valley CTC, GED courses are held in the ARC.  For more information please contact Project Read at 937-461-7323.
