Academic Resource Center (ARC)

The ARC provides prospective Sinclair students the opportunity to improve basic skills in math and English in preparation for the Accuplacer placement test. A student may choose to utilize the ARC prior to taking the test the first time; or, if a re-test is recommended, may be referred to the ARC by the Testing Center or their Academic Advisor. For those choosing to re-take the test, a prescriptive online curriculum is assigned, and once complete the student will receive a voucher for a free Accuplacer re-test.

Who should utilize the ARC?
  • Individuals preparing to take the Accuplacer for the first time
  • Individuals preparing to retake the Accuplacer
  • Individuals who would like to review Math, Reading and Writing skills
  • Individuals preparing to take the GED prior to enrollment at Sinclair

In collaboration with Miami Valley CTC, GED courses are held in the ARC for those preparing to enroll at Sinclair. For more information please contact Project Read at 937-461-7323.
