Professional Communication Short Term Certificate
Communication skills are critically important for all students.  The results of a survey conducted in 1998 by the National Association of Colleges and Employers showed clearly the importance of communication skills in the workplace.  When asked of employers what characteristics they seek in job candidates, interpersonal skills topped the list, with teamwork skills and communication skills followed immediately behind.  The certificate is a means for a student to demonstrate to employers that they have acquired those skills.
