The Youth Wind Ensemble will perform in 2 Concerts. Sunday, February 24, 2013, with the Community Wind Symphony, and with Guest Composer/Conductor, Jack Stamp, on April 21, 2013.
Auditions for membership and chair placement will begin the week of November 26 and auditions are held in afternoons for 3 weeks. Be sure to call Dr. Kenneth Kohlenberg at (937) 512-2753 for an audition time!
Rehearsals are on stage in Blair Hall, Building 2 (4th Street) on Tuesday evenings starting on January 8, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The rehearsal with Dr. Stamp before the April Concert is on Sunday morning, April 21, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon. A box lunch will be provided to students on campus and the Concert begins at 2:00 p.m.
Participation is open to all area woodwind, brass and percussion students with a successful audition. There is no charge to participate and the Concerts are free, open to all guests. No tickets are required.
