Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

The program outcomes of the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program are to prepare graduates who will provide physical therapy interventions commensurate with the needs of the patients/clients in their care as determined by the plan of care developed by the Physical Therapist. The graduate will be a life-long learner with skills reflective of clinical and administrative standards practiced in an ethical and legal manner as defined by the State of Ohio practice act and in accordance with the Code of Ethics of the American Physical Therapy Association. The PTA academic faculty and clinical instructors will work with all students to assist in achieving their career goals as they progress through the curriculum accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
