Aviation Powerplant

Aviation Technology's Aviation Powerplant certificate program covers skills used to maintain turbine and reciprocating engines, and associated systems.

Sinclair Community College is an FAA certified Aviation Maintenance Technician School: Air Agency Certificate # XSCT086K.

  • AVT 1128: Powerplant Safety Systems (3 credit hours)
  • AVT 2122: Ignition & Starting (4 credit hours)
  • AVT 2126: Reciprocating Engines (7 credit hours)
  • AVT 2129: Propellers (4 credit hours)
  • AVT 2138: Engine Fuel & Fuel Metering (3 credit hours)
  • AVT 2139: Induction/Exhaust/Cooling (2 credit hours)
  • AVT 2219: Turbine Engines (4 credit hours)
