What is the Environmental Engineering Technology program at Sinclair?

Sinclair's Environmental Engineering Technology program is designed to meet the growing demand for environmental engineering technicians at the corporate, federal, state, and local levels. Graduates of this program will possess the technical training sought by prospective employers in consulting, industrial, and governmental organizations.

The Environmental Engineering Technology program is accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (TAC of ABET). 

Students can gain valuable hands-on experience through the school's co-op program while achieving college credit for practical work experience.

What are the objectives of the Environment Engineering Technology program at Sinclair?

This program prepares students for entry level positions in the field of environmental engineering technology.  The curriculum provides a background in environmental laws and regulations, air and water pollution, groundwater studies, site assessments, emergency response to situations involving hazardous chemicals/wastes; storage, treatment, and disposal of hazardous wastes, sampling and analysis; and remediation.  Skills and knowledge acquired will lead to possible employment in consulting, industrial and government organizations.  The program prepares students to work as environmental engineering technicians or continue their education and obtain a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering.
