Sinclair Men's Basketball Season Preview
2010-2011

The Pride finished the regular season with a 22-10 overall record and spent three weeks ranked in the top 20 of the NJCAA Division II polls. Sinclair put together another solid year on both sides of the court, averaging 84.40 points per game (ranked 14th nationally) while only giving up 74.60 points per game. The Pride has averaged 22 wins over the last three years with a 73% winning average, while earning a Regular Season OCCAC title (2007-08) as well as advancing to the NJCAA Region XII Finals in that same year (Round of 32).

During this same time frame, the Pride has faced off in Post-Season competition with two teams that have advanced to the NJCAA Division II National Championship game. Sinclair keeps knocking on the door, winning close games and playing a very exciting brand of basketball.

This year’s team may lack the size of most Pride teams, but their speed and outside shooting will dominate the play. Youth will definitely be served this year as the Pride returns only one player off last year’s squad, Colton Everett. Young and eager to learn, Sinclair will grind its way through some growing pains as they eye the start of conference play on January 8th, 2011.

Adding to an already strong OCCAC schedule, we have added an away game against the University of Pennsylvania JV team played in the Palestra followed by a visit to some of Philly’s historical sites such as Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. Clinton Junior College out of South Carolina will make its first ever trip to Building 8 as they will open the home basketball season on Saturday November 6th. Perennial NJCAA power and winners of the 3 of the last 8 National Championships, Mott C.C. (Flint, MI) will come to town on November 13th and give the young Tartan Pride an early test.

The game of basketball is very exciting, and we will utilize all of our talents to play at a very high level of intensity. So come out and enjoy college level basketball from floor level! Enjoy the season!
