TARTAN ATHLETICS

2012 Putts fore Pride

Putts fore Pride - Golf Outing

During the last 5 years, the Tartan Pride Men’s Basketball teams have won over 71% of its games as well as winning the OCCAC Regular Season Championship and being nationally ranked.  This year is no different, all four sophomores and one freshman is moving on to continue their educational/athletic careers.

Given all the success on the court, Coach Price emphasizes a well rounded experience for his student/athletes. Along with working hard in the class room and on the court, the Men’s Basketball Team has been actively involved with a number of community service projects.  Tuesday before Thanksgiving, team members and coaches will spend time serving dinner to the members of the Dayton Boys & Girls Club.  Several other community service projects include: The Dayton Heart Walk, MDA, Visits to the Dayton VA, NABC Reading Program and Price’s Pride Oakwood youth basketball clinics.

Another program Coach Price has put into place is the PEP-Player Enhancement Program.  The PEP offers additional study tables and tutors along with monthly guest speakers and during away games, visits to such places as the White House and the Liberty Bell.  This year we will play a game in DC and then stay to tour the Capitol, Arlington, Lincoln Memorial and the White House.

We would like to invite you to share in our efforts in building a Tartan Pride Men’s Basketball program into one of the nation’s elite. The funds raised from the Putts Fore Pride will assist the Tartan Pride Men’s Basketball as they continue to be Great in the 3 C’s; Great in the Classroom, Great in the Community and Great on the Field of Competition.
