Students learn Cisco routing protocols, troubleshooting the routing protocols, components, methods and technologies required for network and Internet communications, operation of IP addressing services, network security threats and functions of common security appliances and applications, wireless network standards and components, basic switching concepts, operation of Cisco switches, Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) to create logically separate networks. Configure routers and switches and networks, troubleshoot network components and connections.
Design, document and implement computer software solutions given definition of a problem and requirements for a solution.

Use operating system commands to manipulate files and directories, perform systems software troubleshooting and program routers.
