Women's Hoops Win Opener

Dayton, OH –  The 2010-11 Sinclair Tartan Pride Women's Basketball Team opened their season with neighbor University of Rio Grande, JV at home on the campus of Sinclair. The Tartan Pride return five players from last season's team that went 19-10 overall and 8-6 in OCCAC play.

Needless to say a very young team stepped onto the court for The Pride and the opening tip.  But, that didn't seem to effect the young Sinclair team as they raced out to a 46-20 halftime lead and hung on to preserve a 76-65 win.

Sophomores Haleigh Hickenbottom (West Liberty Salem H.S.) had 22 points and Shannon Campbell (Miamisburg H.S.) added 12 with 13 rebounds.

The Pride are 1-0 overall and return to home action on November 13 as they take on Mott CC at 2:00 PM in Sinclair's Physical Activities Center located in Building 8.
