Pride Finishes Home Stand with 95-67 Win

Dayton, OH – Sinclair (10-3/0-0) Men’s Basketball finished a 4 game home stand with an impressive 95-67 win over visiting Wright State University – Lake Campus.

Visiting Wright State Lake started the game on fire from the three point line, knocking down 5 of their first 6 shots.  Jumping out early, the Lakers kept solid pressure on the Pride as every Sinclair run was matched with another round of hot shooting.

Sinclair finally took control of the game mid way through the first half on heels of a 25-10 run.  Even though WSU-L finished the 1st half with an outstanding 9-18 (50%) performance from the 3 point line, the Pride took an 8 point lead into half.

Sinclair used a steady flow of players as all 14 Tartan Pride saw action as Sinclair pushed the tempo getting easy transition buckets.  Going deep into the bench, Sinclair had 11 players score as well as getting 37 points off the bench.

The Pride was lead by Darrien Wilkins (6-6/Cincinnati Princeton H.S.) with 22 points and 12 rebounds.  Joining Darrien in double figure scoring; Mark Allen (6-4/Cincinnati Northwest H.S.) with 18 points, Trent Maddox (6-4/Gallatin Co.-KY H.S.) and Blake Davenport (6-1/Lebanon H.S.) both with 11 points respectively.

Sinclair returns from break with a road game at Ohio University-Chillicothe on Wednesday the 29th of December.  The Pride will finish their non-conference schedule with two home games the first week of January as Southern State comes in on Monday the 3rd and West Virginia Northern on Wednesday the 5th.  All home games are played on the Downtown Dayton campus in Building 8.
