The Sinclair Evening Art Hop, held on Thursday 4, invited prospective students interested in attending Sinclair to experience our fine and performing arts programs. More than 100 potential students and parents turned out for the event which migrated from the dance studios and Blair Hall in Building 2, to the Forum in Building 14 and on to the art galleries in Building 13.

Attendees enjoyed art exhibitions, musical and dance performances, demonstrations by the design department, and two scenes from Sinclair’s current theatrical production “Once on this Island.”  Culinary Arts provided delicious hors ‘devours for the evening, and admissions gave a short informational session regarding the admissions process and financial aid, with professor Steven Skiles, Chairperson for the theatre/dance depart, as emcee for the event. 

A surprising and generous twist to the evening happened as Rebecca Butler, Senior Director of Marketing, awarded a student a $2,000 scholarship.  The original recipient declined the scholarship; as they are working on their second degree with Sinclair.  They asked that the scholarship be given to another student.  The scholarship was then re-awarded to a new student that will be attending Sinclair in the fall.
