For much of the game the Pride offense could not get a big hit. The offense had seven hits in the first five innings that lead to zero runs. Down 2-0 in the 7th Joe Profitt delivered a big two strike single to left that rolled past the leftfielder allowing two runs to score. The Panthers would score two in the 8th taking the lead back at 4-3. Trailing by one run heading into the 9th the Pride took advantage of a few defensive mistakes by Ohio Dominican. Dan Marsh lead the inning off with a groundball that was misplayed by the second basemen. Then Trace Fowler laid down a great sacrifice bunt that was thrown past the 1st basemen. After a sacrifice bunt by Nate Kautz the Pride had consecutive hits from Ricky Masson, Joe Profitt, and Clay Ragland to take the lead 7-4.
