Men’s Basketball Holds Off Wittenberg 68-57

Dayton, OH – Sinclair (4-1/0-0) Men’s Basketball defeated Wittenberg University JV Monday night at home 68-57.

Men's Basketball Holds Off WittenbergSinclair jumped out early on the visiting Tigers and took quick control of both ends of the floor.  Leading by as many as 22 in the first half, the Pride seemed to have it on cruise.

Wittenberg turned a 20 point deficit late in the first half into a 14 point half time margin by hitting back to back 3pt shots to end the half.

Sinclair seemed unable to break the Tiger momentum in the second half as the visitors slowly chipped away at the lead.  Finally with about 4 minutes to go, Wittenberg had the lead down to two points and Sinclair on the ropes.

The Pride finally found a little momentum of their own and pushed the lead back up to double figures with about 2 minutes left.  Sinclair made key free throws down the stretch to ice the game and give the Pride its 4th win of the season.

Leading the way for the Pride, Darrien Wilkins (6-5/Cincinnati Princeton H.S.) posted a game high 20 points and 9 rebounds to go along with 4 assist.

Sinclair will return to action Saturday on the road as they take on Clark State C.C., game time
