Lady Pride Downs Lorain in OCCAC Action

Dayton, OH – Sinclair Women's Basketball team hosted Ohio Community College Athletic Conference opponent Lorain College today on the campus of Sinclair. The Lady Pride raced out to a 15 point halftime lead 36-21, holding Lorain to 25 percent from the field in the first half. The second half turned out to be a totally different contest as Lorain cut the lead to 5 but The Lady Pride converted from the free-throw line to hang on for a 72-62 win.

Emily Frey (Versailles) and Chelcie Gullet (Xenia) led the way with 14 points each. Shannon Campbell (Miamisburg) added 12. Jana Gross (Bellbrook) had 6 assists and 9 rebounds. The Lady Pride now stand 14-7 overall and 4-4 in the conference.

Sinclair will return to action at home next Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 4:00 PM as they take on Lakeland for Sinclair's Welcome to the Islands Game. Sinclair basketball is played at the Physical Activities Center in Building 8, on the campus of Sinclair.
