



Dayton, OH – Sinclair Men's basketball team opened their 2011-12 season in fine fashion with a 118-64 win against University of Pikeville JV. The Tartan Pride shot a blistering 74% from the field in the second half on their way to a 1-0 start.
The Pride started the game with a 15-2 run on their way to a 52-26 half time margin. Sinclair opened up the second with another strong effort outscoring the Bears 17-7 in route to 69-33 lead at the 14 minute mark of the second half.
Gavin Schumann (6-1 FR/Cincinnati - Roger Bacon H.S.) lead all scorers with 22 points. Jabriel Coaston (6-5 FR/Cincinnati - Roger Bacon H.S.), Charlie Byers (5-11 FR/Cincinnati - Moeller H.S.) and Adam Westbeld (6-7 FR/Kettering - Fairmont H.S.) each added 16 in the win.
Tonight's game was sponsored by Steven Reed Insurance Agency, Inc., a State Farm Insurance Company.
Sinclair will travel to West Virginia University-Parkersburg Saturday as the take to the road for the first time this year. The Pride will return home on Wednesday November 16, a doubleheader with The Sinclair Women's team as both take on Miami University – Middletown.
The Women will tip at 5:30 and the Men at 7:30pm, all games are played in Building 8 on the Downtown Dayton Campus.
