Courseview Annual Diversity Event a Success

Courseview hosted its 3rd Annual Diversity Event, The GLBT Rights Movement: A Historical Perspective on Monday, November 7.

Nearly fifty faculty, staff and students viewed the Paragraph 175 documentary on the struggling and suffering of GLBT individuals during Nazi Germany, heard a historical presentation from Professor Debbie Badonsky, and participated in a moderated panel discussion with Kathleen Gish (Sociology professor), Gwen Jones (Chief Diversity Officer), Robbin Hoopes (ASL/ECE Department Chair), Debbie Badonsky and two BriTe SiGnal Alliance student members.

Participants had the opportunity to submit questions that each panelist took a turn answering. The event was funded by the Sinclair Diversity Grant, after a successful grant submission by Irene Warren and Donna Maldonado.
