DAYTON, Ohio (10/27/09) – Sinclair Community College President Dr. Steven L. Johnson will host an exhibition of his photography at the Color of Energy Gallery in the Oregon District beginning Friday, November 6.

Johnson calls himself a seasoned amateur photographer and has a growing collection of over 100,000 photos from travels in 45 states and 15 countries. Usually focusing on odd angles, close-ups and the effects of ambient lighting, he typically produces uniqu e views of everyday objects and people.

"The title, ‘Signature Red‘, was selected for two reasons. First, across tens of thousands of otherwise unrelated photos, I have numerous photos with objects that are deeply saturated red," said Johnson. "The second reason for the title is no one could think of anything really good."

Johnson’s formal education in film, video, and photojournalism was done at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. This is his fourth show.
