Sinclair Theatre Presents Stop Kiss

Dayton, OH- Sinclair Community College's Theatre Department will present Diana Son's Stop Kiss directed by Gina Neuerer, May 8-16 in Blair Hall Theatre, Building 2, on the Sinclair Campus.

Set in present day New York, Callie and Sara meet, become friends and develop – much to their surprise – an unspoken attraction. The moment they kiss, their lives are changed forever as it provokes a violent hate crime.

Stop Kiss premiered at the New York Shakespeare Festival/Joseph Papp Public Theater in 1999 where it was extended three times. It was the winner of the GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) Media Award for Outstanding New York production.

"We find Stop Kiss an enlightening opportunity for discussion about relationships, taking chances and finding out who we are, no matter what the risk," says Gina Neuerer, Stop Kiss director and interim Theatre Dept. Chair. "It's our sincere hope to bring together a meaningful cross-section of audiences to see a love story that resonates deeply within our contemporary lives."

Cast includes: Charlotte Goodrich, Brittany Hackett, Scott Christian, James Roselli, Sara Linker, Chaney Morrow and Tracie Puckett.
