Two More Wins for the Pride at AIA

After a very odd late night snow storm in March, the Pride were once again shoveling snow off Grady's Field. The shoveling started about two hours before game time and with the help of the sun, the field was cleared by 2pm. Erik Lamka would make his 4th start of the season and he turned in another great performance. Lamka threw a complete game while only allowing one run on four hits. The Pride offense scored four in the first and added a few more in the next couple innings. Lamka is now 4-0 on the season and has tied the Sinclair All-Time Wins Leader at 11.

Southpaw Michael Dunfee made his first career start in game two and went five very strong innings allowing one run on three hits while striking out five. Sinclair got on the board in the 1st inning with a two run home run from Justin Marrero, his 3rd of the season. The Pride would threaten a few times in the later innings but could not score again until the 7th. A one out Jake Heckman walk followed by a Steve Buglione single brought Byron Johann to the plate with runners at the corners. Johann executed a safety squeeze and Heckman scored on the throw to 1st. Matt Addis picked up his first save of the season throwing two scoreless innings. Addis has now only allowed one hit in ten innings.
