Dayton, OH – Sinclair Women's Tartan Pride basketball team opened their 2011-12 home schedule with a hard fought 76-64 win against University of Miami – Middletown. The game took place at the Physical Activities Center located at Sinclair's downtown campus.

The Pride shot 43% from the field while holding Miami to only 22%, in the first half and took a 35-23 lead into halftime. Sinclair would return from half and light it up! Shooting 63% from the field and win by 12.

Sinclair's Brandi McDaniel (Sophomore from Franklin H.S.) lead all scorers with 22 points. Also for Sinclair India Taste (Sophomore, Trotwood-Madison H.S.) had 17 points and teammate Danielle Forrer (Sophomore, Troy Christian H.S.) added 13.

The Lady Pride move to 2-1 on the season.

Sinclair's next home game will be on Saturday, November 19, a doubleheader with The Sinclair Men's team as both take on Nationally ranked Mott College out of Michigan.

Game Time on Saturday will be 2:00 PM for the women and 4:00 PM for the men's game. Both games will be played at the downtown campus.
