Nine innings wasn't enough for Sinclair's first ever game at 5th-3rd Field, home of the Dayton Dragons. A record crowd of more than 1000 people were on hand to witness history and they were entertained all game by the Dayton Dragons Green Team. The Pride took a 4-3 lead into the eighth inning when Northwestern Ohio's Anthony Annuziata hit a two-run homerun off Matt Sullivan to give the Racers the lead. The Tartans answered in the bottom half when Joe Ford singled in Nick McGill to tie the game at five. Sullivan pitched a scoreless tenth, and the stage was set in the bottom of the inning for Matt to be the hero. With two outs, bases loaded and a full count, Sullivan hit a hard ground ball to third that was misplayed by the third basemen and ended the game with Austin Downing crossing the plate.
