Men's Basketball Lose #1 Mott 86-68

Dayton, OH – Sinclair Men's basketball hosted the top ranked Mott CC out of Flint, Michigan on Saturday.

Mott (3-0) used strong ball pressure and a lot of energy on defense to stall the Sinclair high scoring offense. Mott forced the Pride into 10 first half turnovers and a below average 40% shooting percentage from the field to take a 45-25 lead into half.

Sinclair was never able to make a dent in the Mott lead as both teams settled into the second half. Pacing the Pride with 22 points was a trio of Freshman Charlie Byers (5-10/Cincinnati – Moeller H.S.), Gavin Schumann (6-1/Cincinnati – Roger Bacon H.S.) with 18 points and Cameron Lee (6-3/West Chester – Lakota East H.S.) 12 points.

Sinclair returns to action at home on Monday the 21st of November (7:30pm) as the Pride will take on Cedarville JV before heading into break.

Women will tip at 5:30 and the Men at 7:30, all games are played in Building 8 on the Downtown Dayton Campus.
