Dayton, OH – Sinclair Women’s Volleyball team made its way north on I-75 this weekend only to drop 5 close matches at the Owens CC Invitational.
Friday’s matches were again up and down, as you would expect early on with a young team. Sinclair dropped the first match 0-3 to Oakland CC but rebounded in the night cap to push Schoolcraft CC to 5 games losing 2-3.
Returning to action Saturday morning, Sinclair played three very close games against Jackson CC only to lose 0-3. The middle match of the day paired Sinclair against Kellogg CC in what turned out to be the best match of the day for the Pride. Jumping out to an early lead in both of the first two games, the Pride seemed to have some momentum until Kellogg took control and closed out the match 1-3. The Pride finished off a long day losing 0-3 to Kalamazoo C.C. which came into the match ranked 16th in the Nation.

Sinclair (3-7) will return to action Wednesday at home, as they open up OCCAC play against Columbus State C.C. The Pride play in Building 8 and the game starts at 6pm.
