Sinclair Men Down Urbana JV



Dayton, OH – The weather may have been a little sloppy but nothing about The Tartan Pride's performance was! Sinclair Men's Tartan Pride basketball team came out of the gate and shot well from the field to build a 61-38 first half lead against neighboring Urbana University JV. Sinclair shot 57 percent from the field in the opening half.

The Pride would come back in the second half and continue their hot shooting with a 64 percent shooting performance and put Urbana away by the count of 120-90. This is the fourth time that Sinclair has topped the 100 point mark this season and are 7th in the Nation in Team Scoring Average at 95.8 point per game.

Charlie Byers (Freshmen from Moeller H.S.) had a game high 26 points and 9 rebounds. Deon Banks added a season high 22 for the Sophomore from Indianapolis Indiana and Gavin Schumann (Freshmen from Roger Bacon H.S.) had 20 points. The Pride are now 5-2 overall.

Sinclair's Men's team will be on the road for the next month and will return home on December 28 as they take on Ohio University – Chillicothe.

Game time will be 7:30 PM at the down town campus.
