DAYTON, OH (2/4/2011) – Sinclair will host two exciting and informative panel presentations focused on healthy parenting styles from a variety of cultures, highlighting biracial, Appalachian, Chinese and gay parenting. 

Six panelists (three in each session) from diverse backgrounds will present their thoughts and experiences regarding healthy parenting from each one's culturally diverse perspective. They will address cultural uniqueness and commonalities; including values, strengths, and challenges. 

The event has been held for over ten years, but unique to this year is that the event will be signed by Sinclair students from the Am erican Sign Language program. 

The panel will take place on Feb. 16, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. and 12 p.m. to 1:40 p.m. in Tartan Marketplace 7006 A, B and C. 

The panel discussion is co-sponsored by Women’s Awareness, Mental Health Technology, Early Childhood Education and American Sign Language and funded by Cultural Diversity at Sinclair.
