Volleyball Battles Rival Columbus State

Dayton, OH – Sinclair Women’s Volleyball team hosted Ohio Community College Athletic Conference, OCCAC opponent Columbus State this evening at Sinclair's Physical Activities Center in front of a large opening season crowd.

Dropping the first game 25-16, The Tartan Pride held the lead in the second until the very end, but lost the second game 25-21. Columbus State capitalized on a few Tartan Pride miscues in the third and would go on to take the third game by the same 25-21 score.

Columbus State entered the game ranked #16 in the Nation in the latest NJCAA Division II Poll. The Tartan Pride dropped to 0-1 in conference play and 3-8 overall.

The Sinclair Women’s team will return to action at home on Wednesday, September 22 when they take on OCCAC member, Edison College. Game time is 6:00 PM on the campus of Sinclair Community College in the Physical Activities Center located in Building 8.
