Presented by the Dietetics and Nutrition, Hospitality and Social Work clubs.

What is the Lunchtime Hunger Project?

Full program implementation was initiated fall 2016 and the number of students receiving the weekly service continues to climb.  All three student clubs conduct fundraising activities to support the expenses of the project (food items, meal tickets and supplies).  To date, 3,870 lunches have been served and 380 meal tickets (worth $5.00 each) have been distributed.  These meal tickets are designated for students who are on campus all day (attending both day and night classes), or in need of the free lunch service after designated hours.  The tickets can be used at the current two Aramark facilities: Sinclair Marketplace (Building 7), and the Tartan Snack Shoppe (Building 13).

Helping to meet students’ basic needs enhances student success and furthers educational aspirations.  It allows students to turn their dreams into achievable goals.  The Lunchtime Hunger Project motivates student club members to help and serve others supporting the original vision of David Sinclair “Find the need and endeavor to meet it."
