The NIA Awards Ceremony is held annually to showcase, celebrate and nurture achievements in creative arts, academics, mentorship, and leadership by Sinclair students, faculty, staff and community members.   NIA is one of the highlights of the College’s African-American History Month observances.

This year we will honor members of the Sinclair community who exemplify the principle of NIA (purpose), showcase Sinclair Alum Calesta Day and the Sinclair Gospel Ensemble, and feature an excerpt from the play “A Song for Coretta” produced by the Sinclair Theater Department.

Refreshments will be served at 5:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 6:30.  Please join us for a spectacular evening to celebrate the principle of NIA through music, drama, and fellowship.

In order to appropriately prepare for this event, we ask you to RSVP for your FREE ticket at http://scccelebrationofpurpose2017.eventbrite.com or by telephone at 937-512-2889.
