With the primary goal of helping prospective students improve basic skills in math, reading and writing prior to enrolling in college, new centers provide even more opportunities for a larger population. Thanks to a generous donation from John and Connie Taylor, made through the Sinclair Foundation, a new academic resource center has been opened in Alter High School in Kettering. John Taylor has been both a college and foundation trustee.

The new Taylor Resource Center houses 20 state-of-the-art computers with test preparation software for the PSAT, SAT and ACT college entrance exams, as well as study software for the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT). Alter High School students will now also have access to computer-aided career and college counseling within this center.
