Columbus State Moves up Two Spots to Number Three this Week

The Columbus State Community College men's basketball team moved up two spots this week to number three in this week's NJCAA Division II men's basketball poll. The Cougars are 16-1 overall and 3-0 in the OCCAC and are led by Josh Eichelberger who averages 15.1 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. Lonnie Hayes averages 14.3 points per game, while Rod Hurst averages 13.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Marcus Britt averages 12.2 points per game and Karriem Baker averages 11.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Lawrence Briggs averages 10.7 points per game, while Lawrence Bridges averages 5.9 rebounds per game. 

Sinclair Community College moved up one spot this week to number 11 in the poll. The Tartan Pride are 15-3 overall and 2-2 in the OCCAC and are led by Jason Clardy with 14.6 points and 6.9 points per game per game. British Alexander averages 13.7 points and 8.7 rebounds per game, while De'Angalo Gates with 11.6 rebounds per game, while Kevin Vest averages 5.0 rebounds per game.
