Sinclair Named on Presidential Honor Roll for Community Service

Dayton, OH- The Corporation for National and Community Service named Sinclair Community College to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.

Launched in 2006, the Community Service Honor Roll is the highest recognition a school can achieve for its commitment to service-learning and civic engagement. Honorees are selected based on a variety of factors, including:

· scope and innovation of service projects,
· percentage of student participation in service activities,
· incentives for service, and
· the extent to which the school offers service-learning courses.

Overall, the Corporation honored six schools with Presidential Awards. The Corporation also named 83 schools to the Honor Roll with Distinction and 546 schools to the Honor Roll. A full list is available at www.nationalservice.gov/honorroll.
