Deb Norris, Vice President for Workforce Development & Corporate Services, was recently named the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce’s Volunteer of the Quarter for the 4th quarter of 2010.

Deb has served in a variety of roles on behalf of the Dayton Chamber including her current role as a member of the Executive Committee and more than two years as Chair of its Workforce Development Committee. She has been the lead advocate for numerous Sinclair WFD initiatives to recruit, retain and re-train the region’s workforce for emerging technologies including Advanced Manufacturing, Composites, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Sensors, Health Information Technologies, Bioscience, and Leadership Training for executives in the military and civilian workforce.

Sinclair Workforce Development recently signed an agreement with the Dayton Chamber to target professional development opportunities to its members. On January 19 Sinclair WFD hosted Strengths, Strategies & Solutions for 2011. The one-day symposium for sales, marketing and management professionals developed by Sinclair WFD was well received by nearly 80 attendees and was the first of its kind in partnership with the Dayton Chamber.
