Men's Basketball Out in First Round

Dayton, OH –  Sinclair Men’s team came into today’s National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), Region XII game as the number four seed and drew a familiar opponent , Lakeland College.  This was the third meeting this season between the two Ohio Community College Athletic Conference schools and one that would prove costly for the home, Tartan Pride team.

With a 2 minute run to end the first half, Lakeland took a 38-29 lead that set the tone for the game. The Tartan Pride shot just 32 percent from the field but kept it close from the free throw line making 7 of 9.

In the second half, Lakeland took control, shooting 52 percent from the field and 91 percent from the free throw line and would advance to the second round with a 85-63 victory.

Darrien Wilkins (6-5/Cincinnati Princeton H.S.) had 14 points and 9 rebounds while Mark Allen (6-4/Cincinnati Northwest H.S.) and Pat Crawford (6-1/Centerville H.S.) added 13 each.
The Tartan Pride complete their season at 20-9.
