Men's Basketball Wins Over Edison

Dayton, OH – Sinclair played possibly the most complete game of the season as they downed neighbor Edison College tonight at Sinclair's Physical Activities Center. The Tartan Pride looking to game momentum as they head into the final run before post-season play, got some great performances from their leaders.

The Pride, shooting 43.6% from the field in the first half, took a 46-39 lead at the break. But the lead would be in doubt until the final two minutes. Playing good defense against an aggressive Edison team, Sinclair found themselves having to break full court pressure to maintain the lead. Sinclair continued their hot shooting and made good decisions with the basketball and finally took control and win 101-88.

Leading the way for Sinclair were three twenty point scorers. Freshmen Jabriel Coaston (Roger Bacon H.S.) had 26 points and 5 rebounds; Charlie Byers, Freshmen from Moeller H.S. had 25 points and Sophomore Jonathan Bibbs from Chaminade Julienne had 24 with 9 rebounds.

The Pride moved to 14-11 overall and 2-6 in conference play.

Sinclair's next home game will be on Saturday, February 18, as both Men and Women play OCCAC opponent Columbus State.

Game Time on Saturday will be 2:00 PM. The games will be played at the downtown campus in Building 8.
