Tartan Pride Defeat Clark State 58-40

Dayton, OH – Sinclair (5-1/0-0) Men’s Basketball defeated Clark State Saturday afternoon 58-40.

Right from the jump, Clark State had a game plan to control the tempo of the game and not let Sinclair score in transition.

Playing on the road after a holiday is always hard and Clark State did a great job not allowing the Pride to find any kind of continuity.  The game at times had very little flow, the type of game Clark was comfortable trying to win down the stretch.

Picking up the defensive pressure in the second half, Sinclair forced the home team to 25 turnovers for the game and out rebounded the home team 19-4 on the offensive glass.

Leading the way for the Pride, Darrien Wilkins (6-5/Cincinnati Princeton H.S.) and Blake Davenport (6-1/Lebanon H.S.) both posting game high 18 points performances.

Sinclair will travel to Miami University – Middletown on Wednesday as the Pride take on the Thunder Hawks, game time 7:30pm.
